    (IANS)

Actress Kristen Stewart has revealed that Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon have been approached to direct the fourth instalment of the 'Twilight' series.

'I'm glad that's out and about (news of potential filmmakers). I didn't know that was something that people knew. I think it's awesome. I think it's so cool that they're reaching (out to these directors). I think any one of those people would be great,' contactmusic.com quoted Stewart quoted as saying.

Stewart plays Bella Swan in the hit vampire series.

Speculation over who would helm the final movie in the hit franchise reached fever pitch after the second outing in the series 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' director Chris Weitz revealed he would not return after the movie. The third instalment 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' is being directed by David Slade.

Robert Pattinson, the male lead in 'Twilight' series, has hinted that he would love 'Milk' filmmaker Van Sant to shoot part four because filming would take place in Portland, Oregon where the director has lived and worked for several years.
